Calgary class to offer lots of terrarium planting tips

A terrarium can give plant lovers a chance to have a table top indoor garden, and they can be surprisingly easy to construct. A class that will share secrets of successful terrarium creation is on offer for Calgary green thumbs, and it will utilize the students’ own containers.

This do-it-yourself event, which is being hosted by Plant, will teach a group of learners how they can build and care for their own terrarium, and they will be walked through the process. The tips can be used for any size of vessel, and can help to get a new planting off to a good start.

The registrants for the class are asked to bring along the container they would like to use for their project, and they can purchase the plants they wish to use on site. They range from air plants to succulents and many others, and their price will start at $2 each. Anyone who does not have a large jar or other piece of glassware they would like to use can buy one at the shop before the lesson begins.

While taking part in a workshop like this can help new indoor gardeners get off to a great start, they may need more advice in the future. Stationery printers can prepare tip sheets to give to each student so they can keep their mini garden looking great for a long time to come.

Plant will be offering this class on November 30. Tickets are $40 each.
