Milks and cheeses are a common component of many dishes in the culinary world, and an upcoming class in Calgary will show how vegans can enjoy these foods made from non-animal-sourced ingredients they can purchase locally.
Monday’s Cafe will be teaching attendees how to prepare vegan cheese, and according to the event’s organizers, the demonstration has been designed to be both fun and informative. The learners can watch and jot down any notes they wish, and they can then use their new knowledge in their own kitchen.
During the class, the group will see how they can use nuts and seeds to create vegan “milks”, which will then be transformed into cheese. Yogurt will also be prepared, and everyone can chat, share tips and have fun. They will have a chance to sample the finished products, and when the lesson is complete, the attendees will also be invited to sit down and share a meal together.
Learning new cooking skills can be both fun and thrifty. A flyer printing company can be a good choice for marketing local activities such as this one to the public.
The Vegan Cheese & Milks Class at Mondays Café will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 21st. It will end at around 8:00 pm, with it being held at 208 4 Street NE.
