Calgary gardeners who would like to make their plantings even more welcoming to pollinators may want to add their name to the list of a class planned for late April.
The team at Greengate Garden Centres will be offering the inside scoop on pollinator gardening at the Gardening For Pollinators workshop. The session will show that it may be easier than one might think. It will be hosted in partnership with Urban Farm School, and it will be facilitated by Carmen Lamoureux.
The session will explore how plant choice plays an important role in attracting an assortment of wildlife that is helpful in pollinating plants. These include well-known types such as bees and butterflies, as well as lesser-known ones, and the attendees will find out how they can create a habitat that is welcoming to these organisms. Tickets to take part are $49.00 each, and the session will run for three hours.
The sustainable gardening movement has gained a lot of momentum in recent years, and many people would like to learn more about the topic. Workshops offer a chance to do so, and learning materials for these occasions can be prepared by Stationery printers.
The Gardening For Pollinators workshop will begin at 9:30 am on April 27th. The registration process can be completed on the Urban Farm School website.
