Daren Reid and the Soul City Groove will be entertaining the audience with dynamic renditions of classic cover versions from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, as well as popular tunes from today. Songs in the repertoire might include Crazy Right Now by Beyonce, Valerie by Amy Winehouse and Mercy by Duffy.
The band has been around for 35 years. As well as Daren, the band currently consists of Kingsley Oldmeadow (drummer), Nicholas Celenza (keyboards), Jasmine Stone (vocals), Kim Murray (guitar) and Shaun Street, on guitar, as one of the newest band members.
A recent review of the band stated that:
“An outstanding performance was given by the band and the dance floor was filled instantly – a clear indication the guests were enjoying themselves.”
The band will be playing in the Burgee Room, a first-floor function room with plenty of seating, a bar, food available to order and an ample wooden dance floor.
Entertainment events are often advertised within the community by means of poster printing, undertaken at local Print shops.
Daren Reid and The Soul City Groove are playing at The Cruising Yacht Club of WA, Sunset Party, on 6th September at 8pm. Tickets cost $33.08. A galley menu will be available on the evening.
