A civic centre in Rockingham is holding a networking event for members of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) community and those with a disability.
Residents of Rockingham working in the NDIS community can connect with their peers at an in-person event headed for the city. Dubbed “Able Meet”, the event unites a wide range of professionals involved in the Australian Government’s supportive social reform programme under one roof including carers, teachers, support workers and support coordinators, as well as people living with a disability.
Delegates attending networking events sometimes prepare by reaching out to business card printing services that create high quality contact cards they can pass to fresh leads and referrals.
Speed networking on the day will allow professionals to connect with all providers attending for five minutes to find out about the services they provide. All who take part can get the chance to meet like-minded individuals, learn from others and share valuable experiences.
NDIS supplies funding to eligible people with significant and permanent disabilities. It currently provides personalised support packages to improve independence, quality of life and community participation to around 500,000 individuals.
Able Meet will now run at the Gary Holland Community Centre on Wednesday, May 20. The event will get started at 10 am and ends at 12 pm, and the venue is based at 19 Kent Street in Rockingham.
