Local health services in the Rockingham area are set to receive funding for upgrades from the Western Australian government.
Labour minister for Baldivis, Reece Whitby said the Rockingham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service would receive $250,000 from the state government to be used for upgrades to the service. The Rockingham General Hospital will be receiving money as well, with $900,000 to be allocated for much needed improvements.
The works are expected to create hundreds of local jobs for tradesmen in the area and will be a major increase to regional services.
Patients at local health centres are set to benefit with funding of $550,000 to go to the Peel Health Campus and $3 million allocated for the King Edward Memorial Maternity Hospital. The Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital is to be given more than $23 million.
The money is to be administered during the next three years and work will be prioritised on the operational needs of the facility. Stationery printers may be used to create informative material for interested members of the public.
Whitby explained that he is pleased local services will be receiving grants. He further commented that the Rockingham General Hospital is a major health facility in the area and the upgrades will greatly improve conditions for staff and also for patients.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
