Philanthropic community members in the Rockingham area and beyond may be keen to dig deep and join a charity event in July.
The first Rockingham Charity Gala is the brainchild of a group of local businesspeople who have the intention of hosting events to raise funds with the results being greater than the sum of individual contributions. The group uses the tagline “Partnerships with Purpose”, aiming to ensure that all money raised is spent with the intention to nurture better results for all in the community. Recipients from this event include; Orange Sky, a business which connects the homeless through free laundry and conversation; IPL Radio, a station promoting positive mental health; and Cherish Foundation, who conduct clinical research into treatments for gynaecological cancers.
At the event, attendees will be treated to a meal and drinks (with a pay bar after the first drinks), as well as dancing and even a photobooth. There will also be silent and live auctions, sponsored by local business. Community Print shops are often called upon to produce advertisements to support this kind of local charity event.
The Rockingham Charity Gala takes place on Saturday, July 22 from 6pm until 10.30pm. The venue is the Gary Holland Community Centre, 19 Kent Street, Rockingham WA 6168. Tickets start from $150. This price includes a three-course dinner and the first drink of the night.Get a Free Quote for Print
