Free tour of Rockingham on offer

This February, residents and visitors to Rockingham have the opportunity to explore the city’s Foreshore as part of a free guided tour.

As part of the Summer Series, which is a program orchestrated by the City of Rockingham between October and March, individuals have the chance to attend free, non-smoking, alcohol-free, and child-friendly events. Members of the community will be able to get to know each other whilst participating in a variety of free activities during the city’s summer season.

The tour is hosted by 97.3 Coast FM, a radio station operating out of Mandurah. During the tour, attendees will be guided along the foreshore whilst exploring its beauty and art and learning about its history. Events such as this are often advertised using poster printing services, and local Print shops can provide colourful materials to catch the eyes of locals.

The government has completed stage one of its Rockingham Foreshore Revitalisation project, which is costing $15.748 million. In addition to walking along the foreshore, attendees can now check out views via the ‘Lookout’, relax on the grassy area called the ‘Beach Bowl’ and even have a picnic by the water.

The tour of the Rockingham foreshore is held from 9am to 10:30am on Saturday 16th February. There is a train station nearby as well as bus stops for easy access via public transport. Street parking is also available for those wanting to drive.
