A pantomime often features larger-than-life exaggerated caricatures of well-known characters, with audience participation actively encouraged. Eat the Cake premiered as a sell-out at the 2017 Fringe World festival, where the audience enjoyed portrayals of Hercules, Princess Jasmine, a Magic Mirror, a Scarecrow, a Lion, and the pantomime staple, the Ugly Sisters.
Reviews from the Fringe World Festival stated:
“Audiences were captivated by the wonderful story, great performances, exceptional comedic timing and the brilliant chemistry among the cast.”
And:
“I haven’t laughed this hard in ages!”
Local Print shops are often sought out in order to provide colourful programmes for theatrical events like this.
