Agatha Christie is one of the best loved of all crime writers. The Books have an enduring appeal, and have been turned into series, plays and films the world over. Everyone likes to think they can solve a dastardly murder from the comfort of their fly-on the-wall position, and the Rockingham Theatre Company are in the delightful position of bringing one of Christie’s Books to life for an appreciative theatre audience.
Print shops are often involved when it comes to producing programs for theatrical events.
The premise of the play is that a murder is announced ahead of time in a local newspaper, thus:
“A murder is announced, and will take place on Friday October 13th, at Little Paddocks at 6.30pm.”
After the predication proves accurate with the discovery of a body, Miss Marple is assigned to help with the case. With some old-fashioned detective work and able companions, audiences can look on as Miss Marple attempts to crack the case, in what has become known as one of Christie’s best works.
A Murder is Announced, by the Rockingham Theatre Company, will play from 17th November until 2nd December. The venue is 8 Attwood Way, Rockingham, WA. Performances are at 2pm or 8pm on Sundays, and tickets cost from $22.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Books
