Victoria prepares for Small Business Festival

Business owners in Melbourne will have an opportunity to learn new skills when the Victorian Small Business Festival returns to the area next month.

The festival, which runs throughout August, is organised by Business Victoria to help solo entrepreneurs and small businesses find success.

This year, the main event will be the Small Business Big Marketing session in central Melbourne. The half day event features seminars with industry experts, an exhibition with people offering marketing services and the chance to network with some of the region's leading business owners. Speakers will include Network Ten's Executive General Manager, Russel Howcroft, and Abigail Forsyth, founder and Chief Executive Officer of KeepCup a reusable drinking cup firm.

A number of other events will take place around the region, all with a focus on technology and digital marketing. Those who cannot make live discussions may like to sign up for some of the festival's webinars, which are delivered online and can be watched live or at another time via a recorded version. This year's webinars include tips on setting up a business, marketing online and surviving as a solo entrepreneur.

With a wealth of networking opportunities, business owners from Footscray will want to make sure their business card printing orders are placed well ahead of time. With some of the events being delivered online, digital Business Cards offer another way to get in touch.

The marketing session takes place on Thursday August 29th at the Melbourne Convention Centre from 8:00am to 1:00pm. For more information, or to book a place at any of the events, visit the Business Victoria website.
