VicRoads fishing for new slogan

Footscray anglers are being urged to get creative and help come up with a new slogan to illustrate their love of fishing.

Jaala Pulford, Minister of Fishing and Boating and Minister of Roads, is calling on all Victorian fishing enthusiasts to put their thinking caps on and come up with a slogan that can be displayed on custom number plates to be introduced for recreational fishers. The competition deadline is March 29, 2019.

Following this, Victorians will then be invited to visit the VicRoad Custom Plates site before April 29 to vote for a number plate slogan and design they deem the best choice. Those who place a vote will also be in with a opportunity to win a Custom Plates voucher worth $495.

Pulford said the Victorian Fisheries Authority and VicRoads developed the slogan and design options with the aim of illustrating the passion the state’s fishermen and women have for getting on the water and sinking a line, adding:

“We know Victorians love fishing and that’s why we’re asking anglers to get involved and chose a design and a slogan which reflects this passion.”

Companies often use flyer printing services to help spread the word about the latest promotions and any changes being made.

Fishing is often undertaken at popular spots in the local area, which includes the Maribyrnong River at Footscray.
