Footscray will play host to an underground music festival later this year, introducing members of the local community to a wide range of new sounds.
An upcoming event entitled Flow will be held in Footscray this November. The event is presented jointly by organisers ALWAYS LIVE, The Operatives and Foreign Brothers. Organisers of local festivals for music and the arts often enlist the expertise of professional banner printing services to create impressive outdoor signage that commands attention.
Musicians will perform live at the natural surrounds of the suburb’s acclaimed Footscray Community Arts Centre, situated on the Kulin nation’s traditional lands. Local talent will be showcased on stage, along with celebrated performers from overseas in countries like the UK and US. Artists confirmed for the event include, but are not limited, to The Far Side, Kamaal Williams, Wayne Snow, THNDO, Dancing Water, Elsy Wameyo, Tawana, The Tony Allen Experience, Emelyn and Yung Shogun.
Music genres will combine classic sounds with emerging themes from the underground, including jazz, hip-hop and soul. The COVID guidelines and road map established by the Victorian Government will be followed and enforced at Flow.
Flow will take place at Footscray Community Arts Centre, located at 45 Moreland Street in Footscray Victoria on Saturday, November 5. The event starts at 12:00pm and ends at 9:30pm. Admission is free to all.
