Footscray Park will be holding Momo Fest for the first time in 2020.
The Footscray Park venue will provide a spacious area for this popular event. Momo Fest is the only Nepalese momo event to be held in Australia. It is a celebration of Nepalese food, music and culture, including the momo, which is a delicacy in Nepal. It is a steamed dumpling filled with different meats or various flavoured foods.
At this year’s event will be 30 varieties of momos for attendees to sample. Some of the choices to be provided include goat, seafood, buffalo, vegan and brunch momos. The dish is culturally valued as a unique food that helps to unite friends and family at a time of celebrating unity and fellowship.
A number of competitions will be run throughout the weekend. This will be accompanied by market stalls and entertainment. Dancers and live music will be performing throughout the weekend, and there will be activities for children. Events such as this are often promoted using flyer printing services.
Momo Fest is a dog-friendly event and will be fully licensed. The entry fee is $5, with children under 12 years attending for free. The event will begin at 5pm and will run until 10pm on Saturday 4th April, and continue from 12 noon until 10pm on Sunday 5th April. Footscray Park is located at Ballarat Road.
