Maribyrnong Council once again is supporting the East Meets West Lunar New Year Festival in Footscray in 2017.
This has been an event which has been held for the last 24 years and has evolved to become an important celebration of not just Vietnamese culture, but the New Year celebrations of other Asian cultures as well, including the Chinese, Cambodian and Thai communities.
Organised by the Footscray Asian Business Association (FABA), this is a significant event in the Asian calendar. This year celebrating the Year of the Rooster, food and drink stalls will be available and there will be plenty of rides and amusements guaranteed to entertain the whole family. After a day of fun and activities, the evening will conclude with a spectacular eight-minute firework display from 9:52 pm.
Maribyrnong Council is proud to describe itself as the ‘Festival City’, offering grants for festivals and providing support to events that celebrate the diversity of the various cultures in the community.
It is highly possible that poster printing and Signs will be used in the lead-up to the Festival and as part of the displays.
Locals can celebrate the Lunar New Year Festival on Sunday, January 15 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm in Hopkins Street, Footscray. Visitors of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.Get a Free Quote for Signs
