Live music hub to ignite in June

Footscray is set to be the hub of live music for nine days in June, as it will host the West Set winter warmer series for the third time.

The popular event will provide a showcase for a diverse array of more than 60 bands and artists in performances across 14 live music venues. Most of the programme is free for patrons, and the line-up includes shows that are family friendly, as well as panel discussions, to ensure there is an event to suit everyone.

Mayor of Maribyrnong City Michael Clarke said live music is a great attraction in the area throughout the entire year, and the cooler winter months are no exception. He encouraged everyone to make the effort to get out and experience the 2021 West Set Festival first-hand to show support for the city's many local venues, adding:

"You’ll be spoilt for choice with over 60 events on offer across nine days, nearly all of them free and open for the whole community to enjoy."

Poster printing campaigns have often been rolled out to help visitors locate their favourite artists and venues during festivals like this.

Footscray's Baby Snakes wine bar will kick off all the live music action, which begins on June 10 and continues through to June 20, and the venues are all in easy walking distance of each other. The full programme is extensive and can be found by visiting the West Set Festival website.
