Laughs incoming at Footscray restaurant

A restaurant specialising in healthy African cuisine in Footscray is hosting a springtime stand-up comedy showcase.

Fans of food and comedy in Footscray can indulge both their passions at Abol Africa a popular eatery in the suburbs. A branch of the renowned Jambo café bar that was founded by Abel Damte, Abol Africa is well-known for its vegetarian and mostly vegan dishes. Dedicated to challenging fast food culture in Australia with healthy plates of African delights, the restaurant used only high-quality ingredients (imported and locally sourced) in its recipes.

Local restaurants and cafes down under often look to dependable Print shops for well-designed Menus that list available offerings clearly with a clean layout and easy-to-read fonts.

The September comedy show is part of Abol Africa’s ongoing Saturday comedy schedule which features local Melbourne comics, some of which were finalists in RAW, Australia’s biggest open-mic stand-up competition.

The format for the show is four comedians performing a five-minute set each before a short break. Afterwards, another three-to four comics will take their turn with the same duration on stage.

The comedy event will take place on Saturday, September 14 in the back yard of Abol Africa. The restaurant is situated at 221 Barkly Street in Footscray and the show will start at 8 pm.

There is no charge to attend the event.
