Footscray event to showcase citys offerings

An exciting journey of discovery will be available for participants in this year’s ‘One Night in Footscray’ event.

The event, which is being held for the third successive year, provides locals and visitors with an opportunity to experience Footscray, taking in everything from its trendy bars to the artistry on show in its galleries.

One Night in Footscray not only showcases the artistic talent of the area’s accomplished artists but also its students and emerging practitioners, as well as creating new opportunities to view art in Footscray’s public spaces.

The event is free and participants will be able to enjoy interactive art installations, performances, live music, food and exhibitions to suit all backgrounds and ages, according to Mayor Martin Zakharov who added:

“We all know that Footscray is a thriving creative hub, and this event will further showcase the vibrancy that is loved by all. I encourage everyone to head along to One Night in Footscray to enjoy everything that this fantastic event has to offer.”

The event is held in conjunction with the 10-day Due West Arts Festival. Events such as this are often brought to the attention of the public through strong marketing techniques, including banner printing.

One Night in Footscray is presented with the support of Victoria University and Maribyrnong City Council and is a Footscray University Town initiative. It will be held on November 22, from 5pm until late.
