Footscray celebrates incredible local women

This International Women’s Day, residents of Footscray are being invited to a special morning tea to celebrate the incredible women living and working in their local community.

Featuring a special panel discussion led by insightful local women, the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is “Women Shaping Today for An Equal Tomorrow”. Organised by the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, in partnership with Victoria University and the Maribyrnong City Council, attendees will hear how the road is being paved for a more equal tomorrow.

Speakers for this year’s event have not yet been announced. People attending important networking and community events such as this can benefit from having Business Cards to hand to present to potential business contacts.

Free to register, all guests will be required to follow relevant government health guidelines and provide evidence of their up-to-date vaccination status. People who are unwell or experiencing potential COVID symptoms are asked not to attend.

The 2022 International Women’s Day: Women Shaping Today for An Equal Tomorrow morning tea is planned to run at the Footscray Community Arts Centre on Moreland Street on Thursday, March 10th.
