Maribyrnong residents are being encouraged to don their sports clothes and sign up for this year’s Get Active events.
The expo runs between March and April and includes a range of free trial sessions designed to get the community moving.
A number of activities have been arranged to suit different ages and fitness levels. Events include swimming lessons, yoga and gentle aqua.
Families can take part in a boot camp, while new mums can try a special mother and baby exercise session. Youngsters have the chance to learn from sporting professionals, with clinics run by Melbourne United basketball club, the Rebels rugby union side and Netball Victoria.
Footscray residents will find a number of activities on their doorstep, with others being held in Maribyrnong, Braybrook, and Yarraville.
Flyer printing has been used to give full details of the schedule, and can be picked up from council service centres or local leisure centres.
Anyone who Signs up also stands the chance to receive free entry to Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre for four weeks, and to win prizes during the expo period.
The expo will be launched at Whitten Oval in Footscray on Saturday, March 14th at 10am and ends with a family movie night in Yarraville on Wednesday, April 22nd. To sign up, visit the Maribyrnong City Council website or visit the registration tent at the opening event.Get a Free Quote for Signs
