Chance for Footscray artists to showcase their work

The Colour Box Studio is anticipating a number of diverse entries for its annual ‘Throw Up Your Art’ Exhibition from members and volunteers.

Artwork such as creations in stained glass as well as drawings and paintings are expected to be on display. A pop-up market will be available concurrently in which members will be able to exhibit and sell their creative pieces. It is likely that Catalogues, Brochures and Flyers will be used for the exhibition.

Colour Box Studio has been actively working for the last three years to provide a forum for members of the community to display their artistic creations at a number of exhibitions and other platforms, including pop-up stalls as well as running workshops. Currently stationed at Footscray, its pop-up programs can be found in various venues in and around Melbourne.

Workshops are offered to anyone interested in diverse artistic methods such as etching, working with clay, screen printing and making jewellery. Members are able to network with other like-minded artists while receiving mentoring and training, as well as assistance with displaying their artwork.

The exhibition will be held at Victoria University Metro West, at 138 Nicolson Street, Footscray. Opening on Friday, August 12, it will run for the next four weeks until Friday, September 9. Entry is free and open to all.
