Narre Warren to host climate change event

Climarte is presenting a week-long festival of events in Narre Warren looking at climate change and what actions citizens can take to make a difference.

Seven different events, from a showing of French documentary ‘Demain’ about solutions for the problems of climate change, to a spoken word event presented by Littlefoot and Company addressing environmental issues, will be held over the week.

David Holmgren, who is an author, futurist and environmental designer, will inspire his audience with ways to achieve a more sustainable lifestyle. Chef Alex Perry will create a degustation menu while considering what we eat and how our choices affect the land and the future. Author of ‘Waste Not’, Erin Rhoads, will introduce people to lots of ways to move to a zero-waste lifestyle.

Nearby Western Port is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and leading environmentalists, scientists and thinkers will come together to celebrate the importance of the Western Port environment and consider what the future holds for this special place.

Writer David Finnigan will discuss the huge changes that humans are making to the planet and share his theory of ‘You’re safe till 2024’. Events such as this often use poster printing services to create materials that will catch the attention of attendees.

All events will be held at Bunjil Place in Narre Warren. The Art+Climate=Change 2019 festival will run from Saturday 4th May. Tickets to individual events can be purchased through the box office and a five-show pass costs $100.
