Narre Warren to celebrate Christmas with holiday classic
The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra will soon be bringing one of the world’s most popular ballets to Narre Warren audiences.
Performing Tchaikovsky’s Christmas classic ‘The Nutcracker’, the full 65-piece orchestra will aim to delight music and dance fans of all ages.
Following the Christmas Eve adventures of the Nutcracker Prince and the young ballerina Clara who brings him to life, this all new interpretation will showcase some of the best loved aspects of the famous ballet; from technically impressive music and dance numbers, to magical settings, characters and costumes.
The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra will be joined on stage by a full troupe of Melbourne-based dancers ready to bring the seasonal tale to life. The community-based orchestra provides performance opportunities for local, classically trained amateur musicians. Their annual concert program aims to connect the community through music and typically features a mix of classical pieces and contemporary performances that draw from film scores, light opera musicals and pop icons.
Local theatres like this one often turn to brochure printing services to produce programs and other promotional materials for the show. These programs typically feature more information about the performances and can act as a souvenir for audience members, as well as a way to follow along with the show.
Casey Philharmonic Orchestra’s production of The Nutcracker will take place at Narre Warren’s Bunjil Place, with performances scheduled for 7:30pm on Saturday, December 20 and 2:30pm on Sunday, December 21.
