A proposal to build a helipad in Narre Warren has been welcomed by local businesses in the area.
This innovative proposal, developed by The Tabak Property Group Pty Ltd, has been submitted to the Casey City Council for approval. The developers aim to construct a helipad servicing six-seater helicopters on the roof of Casey Towers Business Precinct, a three-storey building in Victor Crescent.
The building will also accommodate 221 car parks, which will alleviate the challenges faced by local businesses and customers in the area. Fountain Gate Business Park and the local Westfield Fountain Gate Shopping Complex are both set to benefit from the proposal, should it be approved.
The helipad will aim to be multi-functional, providing not only business and tourism opportunities, but also act as an additional landing pad for emergency services if necessary.
Local business owners look forward to new growth in the area. Some believe that with Uber Air in the pipeline, this could be extremely lucrative and viable for Narre Warren residents. However, residents have expressed mixed feelings regarding the proposal, despite the plan to limit flights per day. Many fear that the noise will impact their quality of life.
Graphic design is often used in the creation of proposals for developments like this. In the consultation process, owners and interested parties are then presented with information regarding these projects.
The Casey City Council has yet to make a decision regarding this proposal as they are waiting on any objections residents and businesses may have.
