Edgars Mission talk to take place in Narre Warren

Pam Ahern, founder of Edgar’s Mission will speak at Bunjil Place, about the foundation and work of the Mission, which provides a haven for rescued farm animals.

After many years as a successful equestrian competitor, Pam Ahern began her mission of rescuing farm animals when she rescued her first pig, Edgar. She gave up her career and established Edgar’s Mission on a 60-acre property near Kilmore, which narrowly escaped the devastating Black Saturday bush fires in 2009.

Now, the Mission has moved to a larger property near Lancefield, about an hour’s drive north of Melbourne. The Mission is home to over 400 animals, and as well as providing a safe haven, the Mission seeks to educate the community, about the often-inhumane treatment to which farm animals are subjected, through outreach, advocacy and farm tours. Pam believes that treating people, animals and the planet with kindness will make the world a better place.

Edgar’s Mission is a not-for-profit organisation. Such organisations often use brochure printing services to let people know about the work they do and what people can do to support their efforts.

Pam will speak at Bunjil Place Library, Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren on Friday July 12th from 6:30pm. There is no cost for this event but registrations of interest can be made through Eventbrite.
