Residents of Narre Warren and surrounding suburbs can once again look forward to visiting some of their local attractions. The easing of Covid-19 restrictions is a welcome relief to local businesses who have suffered during quarantine.
Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick was among the popular attractions to welcome back residents to its scenic gardens, having made maximum use of its closure time to conduct upgrades and complete maintenance projects.
The Old Cheese Factory, also in Berwick, opened its facilities on 1 June and the well-attended Farmers Market will be up and running once again on Saturday 13 June and will continue to run every second Saturday thereafter.
Other facilities that have reopened include outdoor gyms, skate parks and playgrounds with all Tape and signage removed. Social distancing rules are still in place and the public have been asked to observe these rules and ensure that they do not gather in groups that are larger than ten.
The Casey Council has advised that the next phase of easing restrictions may see libraries and aquatic centres reopening. Certain community houses and learning centres have been given the green light to begin hosting some of their programmes again. Casey City has utilised many of its community halls as foodbanks and to provide services to the homeless during this time.
With schools reopening, the council is extending its school crossing services to ensure that children can travel safely and to prevent large groups congregating at crossings.
City Councils may utilise graphic design to notify residents of updates regarding regulations. The City of Casey encourages residents to stay tuned to its Facebook page or website for further information.Get a Free Quote for Tape
