Launched on October 5, E-Property was initiated in line with the city's all-inclusive Planning Service Review. It represents a virtual portal that effectively replaces the planning Forms programme currently available in the digital format and makes it possible to lodge applications online and ensure each one receives a quick assessment and approval. Applicants can also check on their application status during the review stages.
Customers will benefit greatly from the additional integration of the back and front end processes involved in submitting a planning application, according to Casey CEO Glenn Patterson, who added:
“The new service will formalise the pre-application process and enable internal teams to come together earlier in the piece to consolidate their recommendations. This will improve the customer experience, enhance the quality of applications and enable quicker planning decisions.”
Flyer printing services have often helped to keep community members informed of measures such as this that affect the way the council handles key application processes.
Delivery of the new planning service comes after consultation with community members in 2018 and 2020, which the CEO said was an important part of the final outcome and ensured business owners and residents who are impacted most are part of the decision-making process.
