Hunter told the Geelong Advertiser:
“Having been a volunteer myself as well as working with other volunteers, I am keen to see Volunteering Geelong grow and become a cornerstone organisation in the region’s not-for-profit sector.”
Hunter has been a chief executive before. She took the responsibility for Anam Cara House (ACH) prior to her recent appointment. She appreciates the community spirit of the people of Geelong and wants to build on the existing level of voluntary commitment.
An event has been planned to promote volunteering in the local area. The July 26 session will be free of charge, and those who attend the occasion will have the opportunity to learn.
