The 2019 festival, which is supported by the Victorian government, Cleantech Innovations Geelong and the City of Greater Geelong, will feature in excess of 40 masterclasses, workshops and events across Torquay, Queenscliff and Geelong.
Mayor Bruce Harwood said Geelong’s small businesses total about 18,000 and provide in excess of 50% of local jobs. He added:
“We have an outstanding line-up of speakers and events, which will provide expert insight and a lot of valuable support for local businesses.”
Local businesses will be the big winners by being able to sit in on key addresses from leading personalities including chef, author and acclaimed entrepreneur Guy Grossi who will officially launch the event at The Pier.
The Grossi Group brand represents renowned restaurants such as Ombra, Merchant and Florentino and it has been among Grossi’s aims to focus on sustainable business practices.
Grossi’s Business Cards are also an entrée into the fascinating life of one of Australia’s popular television personalities as he has appeared on many shows including ‘Australia’s Iron Chef’, ‘Italian Food Safari’ and ‘My Kitchen Rules’.
Also appearing at the festival, to be launched on August 1, will be Chief Economist for Westpac Bill Evans, financial reporter for the ABC Alan Kohler and Emma Welsh, co-founder of Emma & Tom.
Events will incorporate many topics ranging from start-ups and entrepreneurs to sales and business development.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
