Run Geelong raising money for charity

This year, the funds raised for the upcoming Run Geelong will go to support the renovation of the Maternity Ward at the hospital.

For the last eight years, Run Geelong, organised by Cotton:On Run Australia, has been the city’s largest fun run for charity. So far, the event has raised more than $2.3m to assist with the treatment of children and special needs babies at the University Hospital in Geelong.

Courses will cater for all levels of fitness, from a 12km, 6km, or even 3km run, to a 6km family walk or 1km for children. Businesses and organisations may put together a team of runners. It is even possible to register as a virtual runner. For those who cannot run themselves, they can register and nominate someone else, such as a friend or member of their family, to run on their behalf.

To help runners on their way, there will be entertainment provided for free and rides available for all ages. Entertainers will include choirs, as well as a brass band and a pipes band, among others. Food and drink will also be available.

It is possible that poster printing and Flyers will be used to advertise the run and indicate the location of the courses.

Run Geelong will take place on Sunday, November from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm at Eastern Park.
