Regatta festival sails into Geelong
Geelong locals are gearing up for the Festival of Sails, a beloved event scheduled for late January.
Proudly sponsored by Porsche, Visit Victoria and the City of Greater Geelong, the three-day festival will feature luxurious sailing, a range of food and drink, and live music entertainment right on Geelong’s picturesque waterfront.
The Festival of Sails hosts the largest regatta in the Southern Hemisphere, and will begin with the Passage Race from Melbourne to Geelong, and the Passage Series from Mornington to Geelong. All the excitement of the regatta will be broadcast live to the Green.
Festivalgoers can also try their hand at sailing with the Discover Sailing team, which will offer come-and-try sessions during the event. The event will include an aerial show, music from 30 bands, food trucks, and fireworks.
Organisers of community events can engage with expert printers to promote their event to a wider audience. Professional logo design services ensure event marketing is both attractive and recognisable for the general public.
The Festival of Sails will be held over the weekend of January 25 to 27 at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club, 25 Eastern Beach Rd, Geelong 3220. The festival is a free event, with walk-ins encouraged across the entire three days. Attendees are urged to register for tickets so that they do not miss out on the must-see events. Ticket registration can be made by visiting the official Festival of Sails website or Humanitix.
