Geelong arts venue is set to welcome a musical comedy to its stage later this year.
Fans of theatre in Geelong won’t want to miss an upcoming production arriving in the suburb in winter. July will see the Geelong Arts Centre’s celebrated venue The Storyhouse present “The Grandparents Club”, a musical comedy.
City venues like concert halls and theatres often enlist the assistance of professional poster printing services to create attractive one sheets for the plays, musicals, and other shows they put on to entice the public to attend them.
With an original script from writer Wendy Harmer, The Grandparents Club stars Lynne McGranger of Home and Away fame, Andrew James, Meredith O’Reilly, Wayne Scott Kermond. The production originally featured the talented Laurence Coy, but because of ill health, Kermond has joined the cast as a replacement.
Nominated for a Helpmann Award, Kermond has an extensive history on stage performing in Pirates of Penzance, The Producers, Chicago, Hairspray, Wicked and most recently, Westside Story.
The Grandparents Club will be on stage at The Story House on Saturday July 20. The Geelong Arts Centre venue is located at 50 Little Malop Street in Geelong and there will be two shows with one at 3 pm and another at 7 pm. At full price tickets cost $69.50, however, for group of 10 or more people, tickets are discounted to $64.90 per person.
