The Humans in Geelong Expo 2021 will be held in December this year.
The event is run by a group of non-for-profit volunteers and aims to recognise locals in the Geelong community who have taken actions that have made a difference in the region. Examples include creating opportunities for equity or following sustainable practices. It is inspired from the Facebook group “Humans in Melbourne”. Local events like this can be promoted widely via flyer printing.
The Humans in Geelong Expo 2021 is a free event for the community. It will consist of 12 guest speakers, who will include Nasir Sobhani, Craig Morley and The Streets Barber. For those who enjoy live entertainment, there will be performances by Sweethearts, The Mik Maks and others. Kids can entertain themselves through activities such as face painting, crafts, rock painting and more.
The event will start with a Welcome to Country, followed by an official welcome by the local Member of Parliament and Mayor of the City of Greater Geelong. Charlie Gregory, an electric guitarist, will perform next. Subsequent performances include a dance group from Lithuania, didgeridoo music, Indonesian dancing and a poetry showcase. amongst other items.
The Humans in Geelong Expo 2021 will be held in person on December 5th from 10 am to 3 pm. It will be held at the Geelong Racecourse.
