The Pako Farmers Market is set to make a return to Geelong.
The market will feature a dazzling array of regional produce. Seasonal fruit and vegetables, pork, lamb, beef, eggs, bread, dairy, honey and delicious pastries are just some of the delights on offer.
The market is an initiative of the Barwon Food Fair Network a non-profit group that is focused on bringing local, seasonal produce directly to the public in Pakington Street. Everything on offer has been grown, caught or made by the stallholders. The market gives community and regional producers a chance to come together.
The sea of colour created by the fresh, nutritious, locally sourced produce will be complemented by the stalls themselves. Seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs including strawberries, lemons, limes, asparagus, parsley, mint and thyme all locally and sustainably sourced will be on offer in October. Local markets often seek banner printing services to help promote their brands and produce.
The event will make its return on Saturday 13th October at the Ashby Primary School, 2 Lawton Ave, Geelong West. Gates will open at 9am and close at 1pm. The outdoor market will operate once a month on every second Saturday. Next month’s market will be held on 10th November.
