Poster printing to promote the White Rabbit beer brand in Geelong, Victoria, should be underway by the end of 2015.
The Lion brewing company that currently produces the beer at its long-established Healesville brewery has decided to showcase the popular White Rabbit beer label by setting up a stand-alone facility on the Little Creatures site in South Geelong.
To accompany the facility, the company plans to lodge a planning application with Geelong council for a cellar door from which visitors could purchase craft produce and beer, as well as indulging in food tastings.
The marrying of new ideas with old-world brewing techniques will also be implemented for a new range of ales, as part of the company's plan to create a barrel hall interwoven within the design.
Gordon Treanor, Craft Director for Lion, said it was intended to sour, ferment, and develop new beer types using a selection of old and new spirit and wine barrels.
He said the process would be unlike any other large scale beer production across the country.
The relocation of the White Rabbit Cellar Door and Brewery at Geelong will represent a new era for the brand, but Treanor said the original White Rabbit brewing base of Healesville would be missed.
He added that it was expected the brewery would help drive tourism in the region after its planned summer 2015 opening.
