An unfunny evening set for Geelong

Geelong audiences can prepare themselves for 90 minutes of Tim Minchin with no interval, as the much-loved comedian is set to present his show, ‘An Unfunny Evening’, to Australian audiences.

The same show sold out and delighted fans across the UK, and the list of dates released for Australia reveal the comedian will be bringing his tour across the nation.

Back by popular demand, attendees will hear songs from Minchin’s 2020 album, ‘Apart Together’ as well as his musicals, ‘Groundhog Day’ and ‘Matilda’, with special favourites from earlier songwriting, TV and films to his credit.

Graphic design can play a major role in promoting upcoming tours by creating new eye-catching images and visual concepts.

As always, Minchin’s show will be informal, with impromptu conversation and comedic ranting. Minchin’s vision and creative flare will be on full display, and he warns attendees that his shoes may be optional.

Described in audience reviews as a “wizard of wordplay” full of spontaneity and laugh-out-loud punch lines, Minchin’s concerts are highly praised by the public and critics alike.

Tim Minchin will be performing his show, ‘An Unfunny Evening’, on the 19 and 20 January 2024. Tickets are still available at the time of writing, and are priced between $101.70 and $122.10.

The performance will take place at Costa Hall, found at the Deakin University Waterfront entrance, Geelong.
