Windows set to shine in Box Hill South

Business owners in Box Hill South and around the City of Whitehorse are being encouraged to get into the festive spirit and decorate their shop fronts in a bid to win prizes.

The City of Whitehorse is holding its annual Festive Window Dressing Competition again this year, with a range of monetary awards and other prizes on offer in a bid to brighten up local shopping areas in the lead up to Christmas and encourage people to shop locally.

Store owners could use a printing company to create some themed background images for their windows, and could also use printing services to create Copies of the nomination form to encourage their customers to put them forward.

This year's prizes include membership to the Whitehorse Business Group and $500 for the winner. Entries will be judged on creativity, use of products and overall impact. Companies looking for inspiration can download a visual marketing guide from the City of Whitehorse Council's website.

All nominated businesses also have the chance to win more prizes including marketing packages, technology courses and accommodation vouchers during random visits from local radio station Light FM.

Businesses can be nominated by a customer, by another shop or enter themselves into the contest. The competition opens on Monday, November 23 and closes on Friday, December 18. Entry Forms can be downloaded from the council's business website.
