The popularity of this event is also likely attributed to the sister city relationship between nearby Whitehorse City and Matsudo City in Japan, where they are scheduled to celebrate 55 years of friendship on 12 May.

Other workshop events include unique exposure to niche skillsets. On 24 May, a course in Reduction Printmaking is scheduled at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, showcasing how to incorporate the basic principles for designing, carving and inking Print, and also learning how to use a printing press. This course can expand students' design concepts for their own printing services and concepts.
