Residents of the City of Whitehorse will be pleased to know that the Box Hill South Neighbourhood House is taking gradual steps to re-open its facilities to the community.
The non-profit organisation provides small, affordable classes that cover a range of topics based on the community’s needs and interests. Its motto is to link people together with the aim of seeing individuals grow to make the community stronger and a better place for all to live.
General interest topics such as cooking, writing and piano lessons are offered and for those who are interested in health, fitness and wellbeing there are activities such as yoga, Pilates, meditation and dance. Craft lovers are able to indulge their creative side by participating in painting, drawing, crochet and knitting classes, while those planning a future trip to Europe have an opportunity to learn French. Participants wishing to understand everything related to technology may benefit from individual lessons from Richard, who covers every aspect of understanding and using devices.
The activities and classes will resume from the start of term three and bookings for each class are essential. Organisations that provide activities for the community often utilise graphic design or brochure printing to keep residents up to date regarding their programmes.
More information regarding the classes and activities on offer can be found on the Box Hill South Neighbourhood House website.
