School holidays are coming up, and it is always helpful to book a few activities to keep children entertained during the break.
For Box Hill South residents, the Whitehorse Manningham libraries make it easy with a series of holiday events designed for children aged anywhere from 3 - 12. Each library in the area will have different events running throughout the two weeks of the holidays.
The local library in Whitehorse Road, Box Hill, is running two activities during the programme. On Tuesday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 9, the library will ring to the sound of music at the Mini Maestros sessions.
Children aged from six months to five years old can take part in a session with dance, song and percussion instruments. Two sessions will be run - one for children aged six months to two years old and one for children aged from three to five years old.
On Wednesday, April 10, older children can decorate their own calico Bags during an afternoon art session.
Other libraries in the area will also be running events that are open to children from across the district. At Nunawading library, the focus is on making and decorating, with the chance to decorate a mini photograph album and another session making fridge magnets. If children are particularly proud of their designs, their parents could consider using a printing company to Print some family photographs to display in their album or on the fridge.
Most of the activities have a small cost and bookings are essential. For more information, visit the Whitehorse Manningham libraries website.
