Climate forum to bring Box Hill community together

Locals in Box Hill South and the broader City of Whitehorse will come together in October for the CROWAG Inc. (Combined Residents of Whitehorse Action Group) public forum on climate change.

The forum is titled “The Clash – Higher Density Living and the Climate Crisis”. It will focus on Victoria’s changing housing policy and the impact on climate change, and will address what the City of Whitehorse is doing to address the climate crisis.

The final stages of the forum will take community input, asking attendees to explore their own desires for improvement, and what local leaders need to know and address to reduce the impacts of climate change.

Speakers at this upcoming event include climate risk consultant, Neil Plummer, who is also the former head of Climate Services at the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), and Joe Hurley, a professor with RMIT’s Sustainability and Urban Planning program.

Promotional Products such as Flyers, Brochures and Posters make for exceptional advertising tools for Box Hill South events like this one.

Tickets for the forum are free, and all locals passionate about the environment and their community are encouraged to attend.

The forum begins on the 19 October and is scheduled to conclude on the 29 October. It will be held at The Arbour in Box Hill Community Arts Centre, which is located at 470 Station Street, Box Hill.
