The only fever that residents of Box Hill South and surrounding suburbs need to be excited about is the theatre performance of Fever!, which is coming to Whitehorse in June.
Fever! is one of the many shows brought to the local community by the Whitehorse Centre Professional Theatre and pays tribute to the iconic and talented Peggy Lee.
Lee, an actress nominated for an Academy Award, also wrote numerous songs that topped the charts consistently in the 1950’s and 60’s. Hits such as ‘Big Spender’, ‘Black Coffee’, ‘Why Don’t You Do It Right?’ and ‘Halleujah, I Love Him So!’ are but a few of her sassy and finger-snapping songs.
Peggy Sue, known for her sultry singing style, is brought back to life by music theatre star and Peggy Lee fan, Anne Wood, who is no newcomer to the stage and has an impressive resume to back her. She appeared for almost three years as Donna Sheridan in the smash hit Mamma Mia! and has international experience in both Germany and the UK.
Together with Mark Jones and a four-piece band, Big Spenders, attendees can look forward to a top-class performance of music and entertainment. Theatre companies may make use of poster printing to advertise upcoming shows and events to theatre lovers.
Fever! will be performing on the 19th and 20th June at the Whitehorse Centre. Times and tickets are available online.
