Charity event scheduled for Box Hill South area

Locals in Box Hill South and surrounding areas are invited to attend the Deakin Ball, a so-called show-stopping yearly event scheduled for late September.

Event organisers are promising a night full of fun and entertainment, all while raising funds and awareness for three charities working in conservation and sustainability.

Attendees will be treated to a three-course meal and three-hour unlimited drinks package.

During the course of the evening, they’ll have the opportunity to enter the raffle and auction, with 100% of proceeds going towards the three charities supported by the event.

There will be a vast selection of prizes and hampers to be won on the night. Guests can strike a pose in the photo booth or dance the night away to catchy tunes from Deakin’s Music Club performers and onsite DJ. There will also be a best-dressed prize based on the night’s “Under The Stars” theme.

Organisations planning similar events can use banner printing to advertise and attract interest in their local communities.

The Deakin Enviro Ball will be held on Thursday, 19 September at the Shoppingtown Hotel, 19 Williamson Rd in Doncaster. The event will be held from 6:00 pm until late. Attendees are asked to adhere to a formal dress code, based on the night’s theme.

Tickets are $90 for Enviro members, $100 for DUSA members and $110 for general admission. To register, interested parties can book their space online.
