Businesses from across the City of Whitehorse, including those in Box Hill South, have the chance to shine in the Whitehorse Business Group’s annual Excellence in Business awards.
The Whitehorse Business Group was set up in 1996 to represent the local business community and has been running the annual awards since 2001.
Its awards are given to businesses that have made a significant contribution to the city’s economy. They also highlight leaders in business, new businesses, and those who have shown innovation and will be judged by a panel of well-known business leaders from the Whitehorse area.
The awards are open to businesses of any size, including home-based businesses. Any local business can enter provided it is registered and has been in business for at least 12 months.
Successful nominees will be visited on site and, if approved, will then have to give a short presentation. Businesses planning to make a nomination may like to consider getting a professional printing company to Print company photos or information Brochures as part of their presentation.
The awards gala dinner, to be held in September, offers a chance to meet other business owners from the area, as well as local councilors and Members of Parliament. Attendees should make sure their business card printing order is placed well in advance, so they are prepared to make the most of networking opportunities.
