An arts and craft session involving working with clay is being held in Box Hill South this spring.
Budding artists in the suburb will get an opportunity to start sculpting next month, as an event called the “Lightweight Clay Accessories Workshop” will run, which aims to provide a relaxed, friendly and educational environment to get creative.
Those offering art classes and courses sometimes call on reliable flyer printing services to produce promotional leaflets they can display in libraries, schools and other community hubs.
The upcoming workshop will allow participants to design and sculpt a small item to take home. Options include a fridge magnet, hair clip or a piece of jewellery like a ring or earrings. A fast and fun creative session, the class uses air-dry clay for rapid results. This sculpting product is ideally suited to novices as it doesn’t need to be kiln baked and dries naturally. Available in a range of colours that mix, it is also ideal for getting creative.
Suitable for all levels of artistic ability, the admission to the workshop includes creative guidance and all materials necessary to take part. Attendees are welcome to come solo or bring along a friend.
The Lightweight Clay Accessories Workshop is being held at Heer Pottery Art on Saturday, November 22 and starts at 11 am. The venue is located at Unit3/29 at 31 Clarice Road in Box Hill South.
