Fans of orchestral music in Box Hill South and the surrounding communities are set to welcome a musical celebration for the senses.
Conducted by Rolan Yeung and Shane Walterfang, the Grainger Wind Symphony will perform a variety of works by Frank Ticheli, Henry Wood, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joe Hsaishi, Lili Boulanger, Kay Abbott, and Simon Yau Yuen-Hing.
There will also be some original and chamber items presented by specialist members.
The Grainger Wind Symphony, named in celebration of the composer Percy Grainger, was founded in 1986, and seeks to bring music of the highest calibre to their performances across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
They have a strong commitment to the development of young musicians, and have premiered original composers through their platform. They strive to spread a greater appreciation of Australian composers and works during their concerts.
Events like these may benefit from flyer printing services to advertise upcoming shows and promote sponsors.
The symphony welcomes expressions of interest from advanced instrumentalists wanting to join the group throughout the season.
For one night only, St Peter’s Anglican Church on Whitehorse Road, Box Hill, will be hosting the Grainger Wind Symphony. The concert is set to take place on Saturday 2 December. Doors open from 7.00pm, and the performance will run until 9.30pm.
Tickets are priced at $25.00 per adult.
