The suburb of Box Hill, Victoria has been discussing the ongoing developments to Box Hill Central’s shopping district with development company, Vicinity.
The advertised ‘masterplan’ will be an overhaul of Box Hill Central’s shopping precinct on Whitehorse Road. Plans include urban parks and green spaces, a community plaza, a Spanish inspired amphitheatre and seven towers, ranging from 19 to 48 storeys in height, for residential and commercial use.
New cycling and walking paths will connect the precincts, spanning over a 250,000 square meter area. Poster printing can be an effective method to advertise upcoming community events held in these new amenities.
The first stage of the new plan was approved and delivered in late 2022, which involved transforming Box Hill Central’s existing shopping centre into a new outdoor dining precinct, with easier access for neighbouring suburbs like Box Hill South. More recently, in 2023, the four storey co-working hub opened, which is now perched on top of the refreshed retail space.
Completion of this project will result in a bustling improved retail district, with hopes to revitalise Box Hill's CBD and broaden the inner-city living opportunities. With over four decades of service to the community, the shopping centre intends to adapt for future population growth demands.
Current projections hope to start the next phase of construction in 2024, pending relevant approvals.
