The City of Whitehorse is gearing up for its annual business week event, which is aimed at helping local businesses keep up with changing markets and develop techniques to improve profits.
This year's event features a number of high profile speakers, including Australian singer songwriter Kate Ceberano.
The award winning musician will discuss her life and career and how she balances the different parts of her life at the Women in Business luncheon on Wednesday August 14th. The lunch will be held at Box Hill Town Hall, a convenient location for entrepreneurs from Box Hill South.
The luncheon and many of the other events provide excellent networking opportunities and business owners thinking of attending should place a business card printing order beforehand to ensure they do not run out.
Other speakers during the week include television producer Jennifer Adams, who will talk about overcoming challenges, and executives from Melbourne Airport and Australia Post who will discuss how their companies have stayed ahead of the game and responded to changing needs of customers and advances in technology.
The theme of responding to changing needs continues with the other events, which include presentations on the latest investment markets, designing a great experience for customers and understanding changing markets and adapting to them both online and offline.
Whitehorse Business Week will run from Monday August 12th to Friday August 16th at a number of venues. Early bird booking prices end on Friday July 19th. For more information or to book, visit the council's website.
