Businesses from Box Hill South and around the City of Whitehorse will gather together this month for the annual business awards.
The awards were established by the Whitehorse Business Group in 2001 and are designed to increase recognition of local businesses, and encourage firms to strive for improvement.
Awards are given to small, medium and large companies, as well as micro-businesses, start-ups and community organisations. One firm will also be named overall business of the year.
Winning awards such as these can give businesses a boost in the local community, and the award title can be used for promotion by way of Stationery printing or business card printing featuring the accolade.
Last year, several Box Hill businesses were successful with the Whitehorse Community Health Service, now known as Carrington Health, winning two awards: Wallies Lollies was named small business of the year, and supply chain company Infoactiv was named best medium business and overall business of the year.
Box Hill also features heavily in the judging panel for 2015, with Roger Murnane from Box Hill Town Hall and Elizabeth Paglia from the Box Hill Business Enterprise Centre both deciding categories.
This year’s winners will be announced at a gala dinner that takes place this Friday, October 16, at the Vogue Ballroom in nearby Burwood. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting the Whitehorse Business Group.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
