Artspace to host top line-up of exhibits in 2018

Box Hill South residents will have access to some amazing exhibitions at the local Whitehorse Artspace this year.

Together with the City of Whitehorse Art Collection, promotional brochure printing for the Artspace has always included an wide array of exhibitions, and 2018 is no different.

The 2018 collections bring a new dimension to the range of artworks that have graced the venue and been viewed free of charge by local art lovers. According to the City of Whitehorse website, this year’s programme incorporates an array of seven exhibitions.

The exhibitions on show are include woodblock and woodcut prints, mono-prints, linocuts, etchings, textiles, sculptures, ceramics, photographs and paintings.

The 2018 season kicked off in January with the ‘Echoes of Nature: The Art of Echo Wu’, which showcases the art of Chinese brush painting.

The exhibition, which consists of pieces that have been inspired by and reflect the natural world, were aptly timed to coincide with celebrations for Chinese New Year.

On March 8, a new exhibition will begin showcasing female artists from around the world. This concludes on April 28, and then a photography exhibition by John Street will be the main focus from May 3 to June 2.

With these exhibits and more ahead, locals are urged to take the opportunity to visit the Artspace in 2018.
